Your Watch can help you see how you’re recovering, from your sleep to changes in your usual resting heart rate. Alongside how you feel, that helps V.Runner plan the running ahead.
Missing or out-of-date readings don’t count as poor recovery. V.Runner uses the information that’s available and compares it with what’s usual for you.
Behind the simple advice are sports science, AI and tests of different ways to build a running week. We use these to keep improving how V.Runner plans your running.
Build time on your feet without making every day hard.
Less wondering. More running.

Your plan on your wrist. Your mind on the run.
Leave the planning at home. Send your run to Apple’s Workout app, check it’s on your Watch and head out knowing what to do. You’ll see when to pick up the pace and when to ease off.
Four free training weeks. Then buy credits in small packs.
Your first week counts even if you start on Sunday. After four consecutive weeks, each planned run costs one credit. The credits for the whole week are used together when you open or refresh that week’s plan.
Coaching and changes to your plan are included. Credits cover planned runs, including any you later skip.
Credit purchases in TestFlight are for testing and don’t charge real money. Paid sales will need App Store approval. See our purchase terms.
Your training is personal. Your choices should be clear.
Using V.Runner requires online backup and your permission for AI coaching, personal plan updates and sharing training data with identifying details removed to help improve the plans. Sending crash reports is optional and off by default.
You can change this permission in Privacy. If you withdraw it, coaching and improvement sharing stop and the app pauses. You can still download or delete your data.
Already running and wondering what to do next? V.Runner helps you work towards getting fitter, a faster 10K or a longer run with your iPhone and Apple Watch. You don’t need a race in the calendar. Your plan starts from the running you do now, even if your goal feels a long way off.
What do I need to use it?
An iPhone with iOS 17 or later. With your permission, V.Runner uses your recent runs from Apple Health to help plan where to start. It’s currently for iPhone.
Do I need an Apple Watch?
You can view your plan on iPhone. To follow a run on your wrist, you’ll need an Apple Watch paired with it. Your runs go into Apple’s Workout app, so there’s no extra Watch app to install. Read the Watch guide.
Will my plan change as I get fitter?
Your recent runs and how they feel help V.Runner plan how far and how fast to go next. Sleep and heart-rate readings from your Watch provide recovery context too. Feedback and recovery readings can support a suggestion to make a coming session easier or shorter. A missing reading isn’t treated as poor recovery. Suggested changes are explained for you to review. How we plan your runs.
What goes into my running plan?
Sports science helps us balance easier runs, harder efforts and rest. AI helps explain the advice. We also test different ways to build a running week as we improve the plans. A new set of tests uses your own running to compare possible future weeks; those results aren’t used to change your plan yet. They explore possibilities, without promising a race time. Read more.
How do the four free weeks work?
Your first four training weeks are free, with all training, coaching and Watch features. Your starting week counts, even if you start on Sunday. The four weeks run consecutively, Monday to Sunday. The period stays with your account across devices and reinstalls. Existing runners get a fresh period after updating; unused credits stay available and earlier charges are unchanged.
Is there a subscription?
No. After the four free training weeks, one credit covers one planned run, with advice and plan changes included. Credits for the whole week are used together when you open or refresh that week’s plan. Weeks you never start using are not charged. If you need more credits, the app asks you to add them. Credits never expire. Your covered workouts, history, recovery and feedback stay available. The planned US price is $0.99 for five credits; Apple shows your local price before purchase.
Can I buy credits today?
Credit purchases in TestFlight are for testing and don’t charge real money. The planned US price is $0.99 for five planned runs; Apple shows the price for your country before you buy. Advice and changes to your plan are included, and credits never expire. Paid sales will need App Store approval.
How can I try V.Runner?
Open the invitation on your iPhone. It uses TestFlight, Apple’s app for trying apps while they’re still being tested. The invitation shows whether there’s a place and which version you can try. If you cannot join, contact us.
What happens to my Health data?
V.Runner reads your Health data on your iPhone. To use coaching, you need online backup and must agree to online processing of summaries from your training. That agreement includes personal plan updates and sharing training information with identifying details removed to help improve the plans. Crash reports are optional. If you withdraw permission, the app pauses, but you can still download or delete your data. Read the complete privacy policy.
Made by Stephan. Built for runners.
Sport science. Software. One builder.
I’m Stephan—a developer, triathlete and sport scientist. V.Runner brings those interests together in a personal project outside my day job.
Why I’m building V.Runner
It’s where I explore what AI-assisted development can make possible and build something useful for runners. Working with AI agents lets me try new ideas and push what one developer can build.
I want to keep it affordable, cover the costs, and earn a little to fund the next experiment.
Feedback from runners helps me decide what comes next.
